Act III Summary for your flipbook

Caesar goes to the capitol; he will not read Artemidorus's letter. The men gather and ambush Caesar. They stab Caesar to death, then bathe their hands with his blood. Caear looks at Brutus and says, "Et tu, Brute?" (you too Brutus?). Marc Antony enters and pays his respects to Caesar. He pretends that he wants to make peace with the conspirators. He asks to speak at Caesar's funeral. Despite objections, Brutus gives him permission to speak. When alone, Antony begs forgiveness and vows revenge for Caesar's murder.

Questions for the quiz pg. 66 (ideas to choose from):
*Can Decius convince Caesar to go to the capitol despite Calpurnia's objections?
*Will Caesar's superstitious nature stop him from going to the capitol?
*Can Brutus trust Cassius to keep his word?
*Does Brutus trust Portia enough to tell her his secret?
*Why Does Portia want others to keep an eye on Brutus?
*Does anyone else know about the conspirators' plot?
